more jargon blablabla
it really gets me everytime another bureaucrat talk about the 'tourism potential' of Indonesia! stop it already, yes we all know the whole country has got 'potential', what we need is a strategy to make visits happen!
as a fulltime tourist (and aren't we all, in this world i mean?), especially one who especially looks toward the sea, it exasperates me that a weekend diving trip from jakarta to krakatau (in the Sunda Strait) is more expensive than to Bali!! a sure sign of something wrong in infrastructure planning, if anybody's looking for one.
today i read in the Air Asia website that they are giving divers extra luggage quota for select malaysian destinations another notch on the air asia report card in my eyes, way to go!! a small step, but really significant and appreciative of us divers! an indication that indonesian private sector is such uncreative lazy bums, just looking around to collude w/ the bureaucrats for more rent, heh?
now back to that bureaucrat: maybe you should take some trips around the country, and leave that stupid safari at home. then maybe you'll have some credibility when you talk about 'potential'...
