on the road again, and loving it!

after being confined to bogor a while, now on road again. wonderful. started with a 4-day diving trip in the komodo isles. using a wooden boat 26x6m, 5 people were serviced by 7 crewmembers. fresh seafood and giant bananas for meals, and wonderful diving each time with many, many sharks. lots of nudibranch which even i can find myself (usually other people will need to point out to me and after numerous tries i will find it, which by then may party would be way ahead and will have to kick vigorously to catch up).

on the surface lots of fun things to do. shopping for cultured pearls and komodo wood carvings from villagers. going to the national park and observe the komodoes fighting (ratio of 1:3 females to males make live tough when you're in the mood).

excellent nights sleeping on the top deck observing the stars.

highly recommended. thinking about organizing and dive and shop liveaboard trip. the shopping? ikat cloths from villages during surface intervals! brilliant idea or what.
